Givenchy Visits Spain’s Glory Days This Fall

High-class Spaniards are the first people that come to mind when somebody asks who embodies Givenchy’s Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear collection. Matador outfits with a modern twist, high-necked buttoned-up blouses, and knee skimming ruffled skirts bring back a time when fashion was meant to be seen and admired, even when strolling through a courtyard.

Givenchy’s strapless black evening dress is flattering and sophisticated. With rectangular fabric cut-outs breaking up the breast line, the dress emphasizes a woman’s neck, bust, and shoulders without being trashy. A forgiving loosely fitted swath of fabric around the stomach area balances the hip-hugging skirt.

The blouses are simply to die for. A sheer red three-quarter sleeved ruffled blouse with a strategically-placed pocket lets a woman be a little naughty without worrying about leaving too little to the imagination. Paired with a ruffled skirt with a slit up the center and black pumps, this is the perfect party outfit or happy hour must-have. A white high-collared blouse is a unique item because of the red leafy embellishments along the front by the sleeves.
And the matador look is made feminine by Givenchy. White high-waisted and tailored pants paired with a dramatic pouffed-shoulder blouse may not work for the everyday look, but it will make some say, Ole!

Givenchy’s coats for the season are dramatic, warm, and knee-length. A luxurious scarf paired with a long wide-sleeved trench is sure to keep the winter chill away, no matter which side of the Pyrenees you end up visiting.
