Hermès Winter Scarves - Plain & Boring?

Hermes

This cashmere scarf from Hermès, although probably divinely soft, is not what I hope for in a designer accessory. Burberry’s cashmere is unbelievably luxe enough for me, plus has their signature checks. Hermès’ scarves could at least be orange, or could have one of the whimsical prints the silk scarves do.

(If you want to read about that fabu bag, read Pursed Lips.)

On the other hand, I love the way this model is wearing an Hermès silk scarf!

And that’s a ni-ice luxe crock jacket, too!

Burberry Sheepskin Coat

Burberry Sheepskin CoatCan you imagine this 100% stylish sheepskin / shearling-lined winter coat by Burberry being just as comfy as an Ugg on your foot, but this coats allll ooovvverrrrr … and it’s endlessly chic!

With a pricetag to match, but with nearly $1,000 off to$1,497—only to a size 12 that is, this coat is alll luxury. I’m not sure if I would do it if I won the lottery though. I could do that size (although there may need be adjusting) but could I get away with all the sheep fur?

What do you think, shearling-trimmed coats—do they work as well as the more hidden products, or do they scream "I’m fur, hate me!"?

Moschino Cheap & Chic Plaid Coat

It is such time of year when a girl’s thoughts fancy run-a-way boots and hug-me-tight coats. Oh, Outerwear! Outerwear can be of the finest pieces of luxury. A woman’s coat is seen every day hiding her fabulous outfits. It should be a thing of refined beauty. We can afford to splurge a little on such an investment piece, no?

But $2,335 Moschino Cheap & Chic? Oh, my!
No, we cannot.

This coat is surely a masterpiece of lavishness in tartan plaid. Its long-and-lean silhouette, double breast and wide lapels make for a flattering and sophisticated look.

Search on, begging fashionistas! You must yet be choosy.

Christian Dior Stellae Hourglass Jacket

My favorite designer apparel items are suits and blazers (then in line is feminine dresses). Dior knows how to cut a jacket. This Stellae is called the Hourglass Jacket. Isn’t that perfect for every woman?

Christian Dior’s new take on the New Look from the forties celebrates the feminine form with a shapely silhouette and elegant details.

The woman who wears this is so … ladies who lunch. It’s so Charlotte.

Here Dior’s Stellae goes denim to match the line’s fabulous flower embroidered bag. Loves it.
